Cool corner of Didcot (*thud*)

Like Aylesbury, Didcot is a town that raises eyebrows when you mention the word ‘cool’ (yeah I saw you do it). But I’m not kidding, if you’re yet to venture to Didcot, head straight to the theatre with its funky architecture and promise of urban culture. I’m almost growing a beard and a bun just thinking about it.

Aylesbury Waterside is my most local theatre so I’ve been there a-plenty, but last week was the first time I’d ventured to the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot.

Green Dragon Rare Breeds & Eco Farm

Yes little Muddies, bounce. Bounce until you have no energy left in your bodies! You’re looking at the mother of outdoor trampolines, part of Green Dragon Rare Breeds and Eco Centre. It opened earlier this year on 44 acres in Hogshaw near to The Claytons and Quainton in mid-Bucks, and I finally made it up there a few weeks ago with my small ‘testers’ in tow.

The Old Flight House Café, nr Bicester

You probably don’t need another excuse to visit The Old Flight House, the Muddy Award-winning vintage emporium in Weston-on-the-Green, just south of Bicester, but I’m feeling kind so I’ll give you one anyway.

I had a meeting at Bicester Village on Tuesday morning (by which I mean a long coffee with a friend at the lovely new Farm Shop eaterie – so sue me!) and decided to zip over afterwards to OFH, as it’s only about 10 minutes from the Village.
