Excited to tell you about this because it is a great option for low-hassle camping – and lord knows in the not-very-tent-friendly Muddy family we like the sound of that!
I’ve wrote a few weeks ago about the children’s activity days at Longridge (nr Marlow) that run through summer (see my post here), but it’s also worth telling you about the Family Activity Weekend I just went on with the Muddy ankle-biters.
Much as I appreciate the rugged beauty of Scotland and the romance of Ireland, in my humble opinion they don’t touch West Wales for the magical combination of pristine white beaches, beautiful castles and quirkily charming towns (cue angry comments – come on, let’s be having you!).
Last week I returned from a fantastic short break here, and the trip has inspired me to tell you a few places that you might want to put on your must-go list if you’re considering a British get away this summer.
Can you feel Autumn in the air? Morning and evening feel more crisp, nights are a little darker a little earlier, mists are starting to appear.
But September and October can still surprise, and there may yet be outdoor weekends to enjoy. With that in mind I’m posting a trip I made a few weeks ago to the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester because it would make a great little weekend away or a half-term break.
You’ll have to be quick though. Jan-Jun nights sold out in 12 minutes. Log on here, http://www.living-architecture.com/the-houses/aroomforlondon/tariff/, and it will take you to a booking link at 12pm sharp on the 19th. It’s one booking per person and the boat offers accomodation for a maximum of two people.
Good luck. Let us know if you manage to bag a bed…
