Philip Gray Seascapes

   Summer Breeze IV 8x6

There’s something about a seascape isn’t there? I’ve been drawn to them ever since my best friend bought me the most beautiful oil painting for my wedding by welsh artist Leonard Beard, and  haven’t seen anything to rival it, until now.

The Coming Strom IV 20x20

These works are by Irish artist Philip Gray,  a former Chief Petty Officer who left his naval career with the palette and brush and is now massively successful, not only with his seascapes, but with his more Extreme Art – he’s painted underwater with sharks, close to live volcanoes, at base camp in Everest, the lot. Bonkers frankly, but the results are amazing.

GRAY Rainforest 1 (untitled)

A new exhibition of his has just started the Lemongrove Gallery in Henley and he’s coming on Friday to sign books (from 5-7pm)  and sprinkle some artistic fairydust on the show.
