Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Hero's Blog features here.

I’m getting so excited about the first Muddy Stilettos Awards that I can’t bear it – I have to give you a sneaky peak at the award categories before the nominations open on Monday. I know it, I’m weak!

Please do give a thought to who you’d like to vote for. We all know how tough is for local businesses at the moment and how important a bit of independence and individualism is they are to our increasingly homogenised towns and cities. Your support could make all the difference to your favourites.

And so, with no further ado, I shall shimmy into my little black dress, sashay to the microphone, thank the Academy, attempt a bad joke and lean forward to announce…

These are the categories for nomination.

God, I’ve always wanted to write that LOL!

Best…

      Hi Andy
Thanks for those. You need to nominate through the Awards button on the homepage of the blog for them to be counted though. Just go back to http://www.muddystilettos.co.uk, and click the Awards button and it will take you through to the Awards site, all easily navigable. All categories are on one page so it’s super-easy x

It’s onto the final round of voting David, so you need to go to http://www.muddystilettosawards.co.uk and cast your votes there. Big Sky are shortlisted so you can help them out! Thanks, Hero

Nice site, but bizarre: the exact audience you at pre trying to appeal to…. all have iPads or iPhones, and the site doesn’t work properly on either. Need some IT advice on designing for Apple users.

    Good luck.
