Yes, it’s time to wean your children off Harry Potter and Indiana Jones Lego and onto something that will help them with their dinner party anecdotes.
Lego Architecture is a brilliant series that focuses on iconic world structures, including the New York’s Guggenheim Museum (above), Pennsylvania’s Fallingwater and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Constructing these babies will keep your kids busy for hours, days, weeks even, as they absorb the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe and pals.
I’ve been on the blower to Lego UK and they tell me there’s a British building in the offing for 2012. My vote goes to the Houses of Parliament in 2000 bits – not only will your kids be silent for weeks, but your husband will probably insist on helping. Bliss!
