All hail Vale Harvest!

Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest EAT OUT features here.

Here at Muddy Stilettos, we love locally produced food;  healthy, straight from the earth veggies, juices from the garden and happy livestock. (We’re also partial to a half of crispy duck from the Chinese, but come on, who’s perfect?).

So this post is basically a quick flag-up to the wonderful Vale Harvest, a new collective in Ayesbury Vale whose aim is to help consumers connect with local producers, whether buying direct from a supplier or from a local retailer.

Next month sees Vale Harvest officially launch with its first food market in Notley Barn, Long Crendon on July 14th (see the flyer here), so if you’re in the area come along and support it.

And if there’s any other local food collectives in Bucks and Oxon doing brilliant things, get in touch and I’ll help you spread the word. A flagon of ale and a dozen full-fat sausages is all I ask in return!

Liking the sound of this. I have been to sandy lane farm in tiddington a few times. They have a cooperative market every Thursday afternoon and usually serve teas and coffees. Plus you are surrounded by farmyard animals so the kids feel like they are in an episode of Big Barn Farm 🙂
