The Chequers, Marlow

Situated on Marlow’s Georgian-fronted High Street, The Chequers is a 16th century gem of an inn featuring low beams, cosy corners and a new, snug alehouse, The Churchill Tap, formerly known as The Old Whisky Bar. Separate from the rest of The Chequers interior, The Churchill Tap serves a range of Brakspears’ beers, beers from other local breweries and bottled world beers, plus there’s a specialist beer connoisseur behind the bar to guide and inform customers. Both The Churchill Tap and The Chequers were recently given an extensive makeover.

The Chequers two dining rooms have been enhanced to create, airy light-filled spaces. Renowned for its flavourful and reasonably priced steaks and grills on its modern British menu, expect top quality cuts of 90 day, wet aged Australian beef, including fillet, sirloin and ribeye, cut to size and shape to suit your preference on The Chequers show shopper Butcher’s Block counter, along with great burgers and traditional British pub dishes.
