The Perch Inn

The Perch is one of Oxford’s oldest and most unique destination pubs.

Our 17th century thatch-roofed building will charm even the most seasoned pub-goers. Our large garden and beautiful riverside location on Port Meadow make us an ideal end to an improving walk on a summer’s day. And our fireplace and spacious eating rooms make us just as good in winter.

We serve proper British pub food based on traditional and new recipes using fresh, seasonally-inspired ingredients. We keep up a rotating selection of craft beers, real ales, ciders, and perrys. And we have one of the best lists of English and British wine in the county.

In our 800 years, we’ve been a favourite of Britain’s best poets and authors, a frequent haunt of Inspector Morse, and one of the most influential venues in the British Jazz scene.

We provide a refuge for all lovers of great food and great drink – if you’re a hungry walker, a thirsty student, a family with a pack of muddy dogs (and muddy kids), or just an adventurous visitor.
