Wouldn’t you though?
I am *so happy* right now. For once I know that I won’t be yanking my stilettos out of cloddy earth at parties. I won’t look like there’s a hot poker up my bum every time I try to dance in my high heels. There will be no need to sneak my Birkenstocks into my handbag for under-the-table pedi-respite at posh events, or insist on a taxi because I can’t walk the five minutes to the restaurant.
‘Why?’, I hear you cry (well, not really but just go with it). Because my friends, it’s PLATFORM TIME! Toot toot!
Look at these designer beauties. Aren’t they amazing? Can’t remotely afford any of them of course – £800 for a pair of shoes being a bit on the obscene side, truth be told – but the feminine, flirty, confidently showy and goddamn comfy precedent will filter down to the high street in no time.
I’ve already bought my first pair of platforms for the season to come (oh I know, I know, but it’s a natural a hazard of the job!), from the bijou but very cool 22 Boutique in Amersham, but I can sense many more pairs to come over the next few months. It’s a bit early for the high street shops to push them yet but I’ll flag up the best pairs when I do my new season round-up in early March – plenty of time to plot how many pairs you’re going to buy…
What do you think about the return of platforms for SS15? Love them or wouldn’t be seen dead in them?
