Wild and woolly
Forget Katy Perry, you're gonna hear ME roar when I'm cosied up in this brilliantly bold new season Marc Cain jumper. Grrrrr!
Recently returned to Blighty from sunnier climes and feeling the cold? I know I am – and how novel it is to dig out a jumper for the first time in months. If you’re on the hunt for a new season sweater, how about this roaringly good one from designer Marc Cain (£215)? No one’s going to miss you rocking this lion motif – and it’s such a statement piece that you can sling it over any old jeans, denim skirt or trousers and still look like you’ve made an effort.
There’s loads more where that came from at Cliché, the Beaconsfield boutique that’s a longstanding presence in the Bucks town (37 years and counting!). Owner Sophie is the largest in-store stockist of Marc Cain in the country, so if you’re a fan of the veteran German brand, Sophie’s your gal. And a diary date for you: there’s a Marc Cain autumn shopping event at Cliché on Monday 10 Sep, at 11am and then again at 2pm, featuring a catwalk show of the new season collection, music, bubbles and other goodies. Not nearby? You can order online, no problemo.
Shall we look at more pictures of nice clothes? Er, YEAH! Here’s what we’ve got our beady eyes on (not sure how they got hold of my sofa for the photoshoot though) …
The pleated midi-skirt has become a modern wardrobe mainstay – I love the green detailing on this one (£235).
Get your skates on to nab another cute jumper option (£189).
Always space for another scarf, I say. This one has a cool Keith Haring feel. (£125)
This drapey navy blouse isn’t a snazzy show-stopper but it’ll be the most useful piece in your AW wardrobe (£145)
Don’t be scared – leather-look leggings are surprisingly versatile. Wear them like skinny jeans with a longline sweater or cardigan. (£279)
