Wouldn’t you though?
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Christmas features here.
If you’re going to buy a hamper for Christmas, you’d better check out these babies from No2 Pound St in Wendover (mid-Bucks), a Muddy finalist this year, and nationally awarded wine, cheese and deli experts. Hampers start from as little as £20 (so that’s my dad sorted out – JOKE!) to four figures if your corporate budget stretches that far, but I dare say the sweet spot for most of us will sit between £30-80 for something very special.
Basically, whatever Harrods, Selfridges or Fortnums can offer you, these guys promise to do better, more cost effectively and most importantly locally – whether you buy a ready made hamper, gift a budget and give an idea of who will receive it (they will do their magic and courier it at your convenience), or browse and select yourself.
There’s a shopping evening tonight (Tues 18 Nov) at the shop in Wendover – yeah I know, nothing like a bit of notice! – with personal shopping available, whisky and port also on the menu, an Ultimate Cheeseboard for slackers like me who just want pass off something awesome as their own work, plus some serious expertise in how to cheese-and-wine your way through Christmas. It’s 10% off in store tonight too.
With No2 on a mission to take the hassle out of your Christmas condiments, anything is possible apparently. I’m presuming this doesn’t mean David Gandy hand-delivering my hamper fully oiled up in fluffy thong with a well-thumbed copy of 50 Shades of Grey in his hand, but I wouldn’t put it past No2 Pound St, they’re very keen to please.
Check out No2 here and put in a call, or toddle down to the shop tonight between 7-10pm if you want to chomp your way through a ‘sample’ Christmas before buying.
