<p>Foster &amp; Gane, run by Val Foster and her son Ed, draws together carefully curated, unusual pieces from antiquity to C20th design &#8211; and every period in-between. So alongside corrugated cardboard furniture by architect Frank Gehry, you may find a rare Art Deco cabinet or a Tiffany Studios lamp. Rita Konig is a fan and international dealers also eye up their wares, available online.</p>

<p>If your tastes lean to either reclaimed rustic, country home or vintage industrial then you need to get down to Home Barn in Little Marlow. It&#8217;s awash with gorgeous antique finds and reclaimed wood furniture that will have your friends cooing over your excellent taste. Be warned: you’ll pop in for some flowerpots for the garden and leave with a new dining table <em>plus</em> accessories. There&#8217;s a reason magazine editors hotfoot it here all the way from London.</p>

<p>Oxfordshire antique hunters can toddle off to Milton Common (about seven miles south-west of Thame) and delight in the curated salvage treasures in LASSCO&#8217;s Three Pigeons showroom. From Italian marble fireplaces&nbsp;to more humble antique door fittings, there is oodles of inspo both here and at Lassco&#8217;s sister London shop in Brunswick House. Claim to fame: Sir David Jason, aka Delboy, dropped in to Three Pigeons (above) to promote his BBC2 show with Jay Blades, <em>David &amp; Jay’s Touring Toolshed</em>. Apparently, Delboy was eyeing up one of the chandeliers.</p>

<p>Looking for a quirky <em>objet</em> to fill that space by the living room window? Make tracks here (or check out their eBay shop) as on top of the usual salvage yard offering (e.g. flooring, bricks, fireplaces) there’s also a furniture showroom filled with French dressers and retro mirrors and trunks &#8211; all of which can be transformed with a little TLC.</p>

<p>Tootell&#8217;s Fine Furniture and Interiors, run by Rosanna Mullins, is an Aladdin’s Cave of a showroom at Lower Hundridge Farm on the outskirts of Great Missenden in South Bucks.&nbsp;You’ll find a vast and exquisite collection, from clocks, candelabras, lighting and silverware to porcelain, paintings, mirrors, furniture and rugs. Major design highlights include the collection of&nbsp;Herend porcelain and oil paintings by&nbsp;Antoine Blanchard. It&#8217;s appointment only, so make a date and enjoy browsing at your leisure.</p>

<p>The owners recently renovated the interior of this multi-floored antiques Aladdin&#8217;s Cave on Burford High Street, but left the charm of this C14th/15th Cotswold coaching inn intact &#8211; along with the graffiti scrawled by Samuel Pepys on one of the windows. Great for silver, ceramics, jewellery, art and collectables. Open Mon-Sat 10-5pm; Sun 12-5pm.</p>

<p>A fab little place occupying The Old Chapel on Faringdon Road. You’ll never be quite sure what you’ll find as they have a revolving weekly stock of antique, vintage and modern furniture &#8211; all at really affordable prices. Every piece of furniture added to the stock has been repaired, polished or waxed as needed. Open Thurs to Sun, 11am to 4pm, and 10am to 5pm on Sat.</p>

<p>There really is a little bit of everything in this Grade II-listed Tudor House in the heart of Wendover.
