<p>If you want the perfect mash-up of Autumn house revamp and indie business browsing, I think we&#8217;ve just found it for you. <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.henleydecorfair.com/" target="_blank">The Henley Decor Fair</a></strong> is back (er, guess where) next month and if your vibe is a bit less IKEA, a bit more stylish one-off statement pieces, you&#8217;re going to absolutely LOVE this event. </p>



<p>Held over <strong>Thurs 23 &#8211; Sun 26 Sept</strong> at Greenlands Park and costing £20 for the Friday, and £15 for the weekend (note: Thursday is trade-only), there&#8217;s some serious interiors inspiration from some of the top dealers in the UK, and what I love about the Henley Decor Fair is the breadth on offer &#8211; so whether you&#8217;re into French furniture or mid century lighting, garden sculpture to fairground signage, you&#8217;re going to find something unique and beautiful amongst the 180+ dealers converging on this exquisite part of South Oxfordshire.</p>

<p>There have also been some improvements including a shuttle service from Henley, porter service for your purchases, more food outlets and on-site water and &#8211; most usefully &#8211; a VIP helipad (yeah, no problem, I&#8217;ll give you a lift). And don&#8217;t forget to keep your eyes peeled for faces off the telly and industry experts including Gary Wallis (<em>Restoration Workshop</em>), Saxon Durrant of Metro Retro (<em>Salvage Hunters: The Restorers</em>) and the Rag &amp; Bone Brothers (<em>Salvage Hunters, Salvage Hunters: The Restorers</em>). </p>

<p>Expect an elegant collection of antiques and objet d&#8217;art from the 19th and early 20th century, sourced mainly from France, Sweden, Italy and England and including furniture, mirrors, textiles, garden ornaments and architectural items. This Venetian day bed from the 19th century with original paintwork (£2450) will look incredible reupholstered. </p>

<p>A heady mixture of kitsch and retro cool from this Birmingham-based company &#8211; think fairground paraphernalia, religious artefacts, curios and some seriously stylish furniture like this Eames-inspired rocking chair. </p>

<p> Great name, gorgeous stuff. Mostly mid-century finds from this online antiques company &#8211; with the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="most out-there Instagram picture (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.instagram.com/itinerant_antique_dealer/" target="_blank">most out-there Instagram picture</a> I&#8217;ve seen from a dealer in, well, forever. Not quite bow tie and tweed! I have a weakness for a drinks trolley, and this version from Thonet comes from the 1920s. </p>

It&#8217;s available from Discover Vintage, a vintage fair company from Leeds that pulls together a mix of traders selling everything from vintage clothes and homeware to furniture and children&#8217;s toys. </p>
