Pretty, intricate and riddled with whopping sparklers - I think your name's written all over Biagio the Jeweller's Artistry Collection, don't you?!
Need any excuse to buy jewellery? (er, no). Well, here’s one anyway – Biagio’s Artistry Collection has your name written all over it.
I’ve used Biagio The Jeweller for years on a personal level – revamping jewellery, cleaning my rings, buying pretty pieces as and when the credit card muse has taken me – but the Oxfordshire-based fine jewellery brand really stepped up a gear before Christmas last year, launching its latest bespoke Artistry Collection at a glitzy reception in association with the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. It involved a tour of rooms that inspired the collection, champers and a private first look at the collection.
The Artistry collection is basically the bespoke, couture arm of Biagio – think intricate, super-special occasion stuff. Valentine’s Day, engagements, significant birthdays, Christmas are the natural launch points for this collection, which takes it inspiration variously from Renaissance Italy and the Art Deco movement of the early 20th century.
There are plenty of beautiful rings as you’d expect (Biagio is a diamond and engagement ring specialist) but if I was to pick out the pieces I’d go for (*BANG* – that’s the sound of a massive hint dropping Mr M) I really love these diamond and gold trefoil drop earrings (£2715).
I’m also loving the Art Deco references on these stunning 9ct diamond, silver and ruby star cuffs (prices from £1,600).
For a large statement gem and a pop of colour in my favourite stone (after diamonds obvs), I love this striking diamond and amethyst ring, or sheer ‘look at meeeee!’ vibes.
And you’ll need long, slim fingers to carry off this 18ct white and rose gold diamond eternity ring (so that’s me out), but how utterly gorgeous is it? Can’t guarantee you’ll love the gift-giver for ever but I’m pretty sure you’ll wear it for eternity!
