Gotta Have It
How pretty is this ring? May I introduce a mix of pink tourmaline, blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, rose de france amethyst, green amethyst and morganite - courtesy of Biagio The Jeweller.
I don’t know if it’s something to do with the skies becoming so grey or me just being totally bored of all my simple gold jewellery, but I’m really hankering after rainbow gemstone pieces at the moment. This ring (£276) from Biagio The Jeweller is a case in point, with its – deep breath – pink tourmaline (NB if it’s your special day imminently – it’s the October birthstone), sky blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, rose de france amethyst, green amethyst and morganite. Isn’t it soooooo pretty? And a bit unusual? And I love how autumnal that burst of colours feel.
We’ve all embraced so much more colour in the way we dress in recent years – no one wears head-to-toe black any more, not least because it looks dull in selfies/ on Instagram – and it feels like the trend is following through to jewellery now. After many seasons of layering dainty, chic, fine gold necklaces or multiple gold ear studs and hoops, suddenly our neck, wrists, fingers and ears are ablaze with all the colours of the rainbow.
Love the idea but your budget veers more to the high street? Here are a few other options that have caught my magpie eye!
