Fab idea for job-seeking mums
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Jobs features here.
Just a quick post but I thought you’d want to know about Ten to Two, a fantastic business concept that I hope will be incredibly helpful to Muddy readers, many of whom I know struggle to find meaningful work around their kids, or don’t want to go back into their demanding, hectic, unsustainable pre-children careers.
Ten to Two is just that, a recruitment service that offers flexible jobs, or those between the hours of 10am – 2pm, in Bucks, Herts, Beds, Kent and London.
I mean, it’s so obvious in a way, like all the best ideas, but I haven’t heard of another agency specialising in school-tied mums this way, or really understanding the talent drain that kids put on previously ambitious, smart, switched on professional women. I’ve been the beneficiary of this myself on Muddy, with my help including a highflying former producer on EastEnders (!), and a charity fundraising director – women for whom 12 hour days in London no longer holds interest but who are now ready to ditch the coffee mornings for working life again.
I know a couple of people who’ve used Ten to Two before and have spoken highly of them, so if you’re having no joy finding a job that fits in with your family, give them a call, and as always let me know how you get on.
