Proof that good things sometimes do come from sifting mindlessly online for hours – look what I’ve just discovered! These personalised tapestries for young kids are by MK-based arts and crafter Miss Shelly Designs, and come four designs – bear, koala, sloth and penguin. Aren’t they cute? Ideal as a gift for a newborn or animal-crazy toddler, and at £30 I reckon they’re a total steal.

There’s definitely a creative arty-crafty hub up in the North of Bucks, and you can check it out for yourself on Sat 7 April, when talented locals, including Miss Shelly Designs, take part in the Etsy MK Artisan Fair at intu shopping centre, Milton Keynes (in between Gap and Hollister).
