<p class="has-large-font-size">We have to admit, we were very excited when we managed to bag Lynne for a quick catch-up on her favourite places. After all, managing family brand <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Levin Wines (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.levinwines.com" target="_blank">Levin Wines</a> and the company&#8217;s 19 (yes, <em>19</em>) organic vineyards makes this Buckinghamshire resident a leetle busy. Levin Wines has been a labour of love for the couple since 1985, with their belief that organic production is better for the environment, the plants and ultimately wine quality (I&#8217;ll drink to that).  So where does Lynne like to lounge when she&#8217;s away from the wine? We know, we know! </p>

<p>Beautifully-prepared seasonal food, much of it locally sourced by owner chef Laurie and head chef Ben, who together craft the most wonderful and creative menus and offer a superb wine list (yes, Levin is included!).&nbsp;Jacqueline and her front of house team warmly embrace you from the moment you step in the door, and you know you&#8217;re in for a very special experience. Their Michelin Star is well-deserved, and I love how the building has a Scandinavian twist, influenced by the time Laurie spent cooking in Sweden. </p>

<p>We love this treasure trove of style, fine food and stunning service, all in a beautiful converted barn with outdoor dining overlooking the West Berkshire countryside.&nbsp;They have an amazing vegetable garden, where the chefs pick the produce each day for the Michelin-starred menu.</p>

<p>What&#8217;s not to love about The Cape in Beaconsfield? There&#8217;s a delicious South African-inspired menu, owner Jo and her husband Mark are living treasures, and chef Pippa rolls out consistently amazing food that&#8217;s all home-made, all seasonal and all delicious. Best of all, they do private events too, so you can have your parties catered. </p>

<p>Having exhausted ourselves deciding on what not to buy at our favourite local garden centre, we end up selecting everything, load up several trolleys, organise delivery and then enjoy a great coffee, homemade cake or sandwich at <a href="http://www.muddybootscafe.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Muddy Boots Cafe (opens in a new tab)">Muddy Boots Cafe</a> &#8211; then race home to decide where we will plant all our treasures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>My grandchildren love Odds Farm for a family day out. It&#8217;s just re-opened for visits this summer (you have to pre-book tickets), and there&#8217;s a great Farm Shop too. </p>

<p>David and I love this local Malaysian Chinese restaurant within walking distance of home. It&#8217;s authentic, delicious, welcoming, and has the best banquet menus with a brilliant wine list.</p>

<p>I was introduced to this shop a long time ago by interior designer Nina Campbell when she redesigned our dining room, bar and rooms at The Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge. For years, Carlton has been a source of the unusual and inspired, objects of beauty and antiquity, stunning mirrors, furniture and lighting. If Carlton doesn’t have what you are looking for, he knows where to source it.</p>

<p>There is no better cheese shop &#8211; which is to be expected after 200 years of sourcing the best. They have two Royal Warrants and offer a brilliant selection of cheeses and accompaniments. We order via their online shop and they&#8217;re always delivered in perfect condition.</p>

<p>Coal Drops Yard is an amazing redevelopment with a beautiful outdoor area, lots of space and things to do, and easy access via Kings Cross station. It&#8217;s a great place to take children in London. One of our favourite spots to eat there is Barrafina. Stunning views, and a fantastic Catalan-influenced <em>para picar</em> (&#8216;pick at&#8217;) menu, with dishes like arroz negro with Iberian pork ribs, artichoke and baby cuttlefish, Pyrenaen lamb chops and cured monkfish. There’s also a specials menu that changes daily.&nbsp;</p>
