Dirty Bones, Oxford
Muddy says: Relaxed New York-inspired restaurant and bar with stylish Sixties’ interiors and slick service – ideal for families in the day but with a more grown-up vibe at night.
I’ve eaten here at least three times already – the Muddy children are obsessed with the southern fried chicken! Part of the impressive culinary line up on the rooftop of Oxford’s Westgate Centre, Dirty Bones offers a Brooklyn-inspired menu in very cool retro surroundings – think Sixties/Seventies interiors, clever lighting and a heated terrace to keep the atmosphere going into the night.
It’s totally family friendly in the day and also works well as a quick pitstop before a movie at the Curzon across the way, but it’s also ideal for casual groups of adults – there’s live music on a Thursday and DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. A big Muddy thumbs up.
