A charming, rustic wine bar in the historic market town of Princes Risborough, mid Buckinghamshire, Dukes offers a welcome alternative for enjoying brunch, lunch and supper in this quiet town with a good selection of burgers, salads, pizzas, cheeseboards and tapas at reasonable prices.

Exclusive wines by the bottle or glass, cocktails, ports and sherries can be enjoyed in the exposed brick and oak interior that feels particularly female-friendly. Wine bars seem to be making a little resurgence after their 80s and 90s heyday and we’d recommend Dukes as a casual place for a catch up with friends, or a party venue for up to 60 guests.
