The Oxford-based House of Jacob has added Jacobs Plough in Bicester to its portfolio of stylish, family-friendly, urbane eateries. It’s a charming, eclectic combination of gentlemen’s club meets American diner with a Mediterranean-style outdoor courtyard.

The restaurant is spacious and contemporary, but if the sun is shining you might prefer to sit outside. (The courtyard has 70 covers). It’s in the top 5 dog-friendly pubs in the South East, according to DogBuddy.com, so take your pooch along.

Open seven days a week, the bustling restaurant works perfectly for casual lunches, after work drinks, or Sunday roasts with the family.
