Liston Court Gardens is a little pocketful of sunshine in the heart of Chicsville itself, Marlow. Tucked behind glamorous shopping destination Liston Court, this outdoor market, event space and general hangout spot is fast becoming the main event in one of the trendiest areas in Bucks.

The gardens are blooming thanks to a miraculous makeover at the end of 2023. What was formerly an unassuming square courtyard became a manicured lawn bordered by pretty flowerbeds, with a 260 sq m paved area at the end. With new and improved lighting, expanded paving space and spanking new benches, it’s become a hustlin’ bustlin’ destination year-round.

They’ve got some rather good events on the agenda, too. There’s live music on selected Saturdays – roll up with a picnic or grab a takeaway from the pop-up food stands or your favourite local café and soak in the atmosphere. Other highlights on the events calendar include open-air yoga and craft markets, and this summer there was a free circus workshop teaching circus skills, with sweet treats from local biz Crumbs & Brownies.

In short, Liston Court Gardens is a great community meet-up spot. It’s an on-tap leisure option for the rather well-to-do locals, but it’s also easy to get to by train or car if you’re coming from outside Marlow.
