The Miller of Mansfield, Goring

Muddy says: An award-winning 18th century coaching inn and foodie destination in the pretty riverside village of Goring, run by two former The Fat Duck group alumni.

14 July 2018Add to My FavouritesSave

Plaudits aplenty for this lovely 18th century coaching inn in Goring – not least the Muddy Stilettos Award in 2016 for Best Destination Pub! Mary and Nick Galer come with years of experience from the Fat Duck Group – Nick was opening head chef at The Crown in Bray while Mary was a core member of the management team at The Hinds Head. It shows – the interiors are welcoming and stylish (we’re particularly keen on the elegantly relaxed pub space), the restaurant is bright and inviting, there are 13 eclectically decorated bedrooms of varying sizes, and you’re also in one of prettiest riverside villages of South Oxfordshire.

Most importantly if you’re looking for somewhere to eat, this is a foodie paradise. Even Heston is a fan.
