Sandy’s Piano & Wine Bar, Oxford
Delicious drinks and the music's pretty cool too - this chic new piano bar brings something a little different to central Oxford's nightlife scene.
We stumbled across Sandy’s during a night out in Oxford and we’re so glad we did. Tucked away down a little lane off the High Street, it’s as central a location as they come but still feels like a cool word-of-mouth venue. The ground floor ideal for a quiet drink, while the party happens downstairs, where there’s nightly live music.
Opened late summer 2017, it’s run by the family behind The Oxford Wine Cafe so, as you’d expect, the extensive drinks menu is carefully calibrated. There’s a dazzling range of cocktails, excellent wine picks, various beers and – our tipple of choice – an rocking rosé cava. The mixologists and sommeliers are all smiley, helpful and knowledgeable.
If you’re out carousing in Oxford and seeking something different to the city centre’s clutch of historic pubs, here’s your spot. It’s glam, fun and open until 3am, so perfect for a nightcap, boogie or both.
