The Feathers Hotel, Woodstock
A 17th century boutique hotel in the centre of historic Woodstock with a grown-up vibe and - oh, didn't we mention this? - the biggest gin bar in the world!
Never mind Blenheim Palace, Woodstock’s other great institution is the 17th century The Feathers, a luxury boutique hotel in the town centre that happens to hold the Guinness World Record for largest gin Bar with 447 gins (respect!).
It’s a friendly hotel with a grown-up vibe – ideal for a stolen weekend away without the kids – but if you’re coming with the family, you can bring your furry baby too – a whopping 16 out of the 21 bedrooms are dog-friendly. There are plenty of fantastic eateries around Woodstock but there’s no need to leave the hotel for adventures in gastronomy – Executive Chef, Dominic Chapman gained a Michelin Star in 2010 and wowed judges on the BBC’s Great British Menu in 2017.
