Muddy says: Retreat and relax! A pretty, one bedroom, detached timber lodge situated on The Ridgeway National Trail at Wainhill with stunning views over the Chilterns.
This newly built detached timber lodge, close to the market town of Thame and the rolling Chiltern hills, offers a romantic rural retreat for couples with modern country-style interiors, kitchen, shower room and separate king-sized bedroom.
If a lovely rural location is what you’re after The Hedgerow is a dead cert, situated at the bottom of Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve, with an abundance of red kites and kestrels, and right on The Ridgeway National Trail at Wainhill with 87 miles to explore by foot or bicycle – turn left to the Ivinghoe Beacon in Bucks or turn right to Avebury in Wiltshire. Or sit out on the deck with a glass of fizz and soak in the view!
If you don’t fancy cooking, there are loads of fantastic restaurants in the surrounding area including The Mash Inn in Bennett’s End, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Tom Kerridge’s The Hand and Flowers in Marlow and The Swan at Tetsworth. The lodge is also a great base for day tripping to Blenheim Palace (26 miles), Oxford (20 miles away), Waddesdon Manor (17 miles) and Henley-on-Thames (18 miles).
