The Potters Arms, Amersham
The Potter’s Arms may look like a traditional local, but it boasts excellent comedy nights with an outstanding rota of talent alongside its cozy interiors and Thai and British dishes.
Imagine combining a top London comedy club with a rural pub and you have The Potter’s Arms, a traditional village local in rural Bucks, just outside Amersham.
The pub decor is homely and unpretentious, the food is good (and there’s plenty of variety, thanks to Whan the Thai Sous Chef who adds curry dishes and noodle dishes to the list of classic pub fare), but it’s the comedy that will blow your head off. Due to social distancing, the regular Comedy Nights are currently being held in a marquee just off Horsemoor Lane, a short walk from the pub, so pack your picnic blankets and
pick up tickets for Friday and Saturday nights.
If you want to see the comedy and have a drink, The Potters Arms has four en-suite bed & breakfast rooms with WiFi for all guests in the rooms and – most importantly in my book – tea & coffee facilities in the room.
