West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts

An inclusive, friendly, go-the-extra-mile performing arts school for children and adults in Witney.

We love the ethos of this community-based, friendly, experienced school for the performing arts in Witney. Dancing, singing and drama are taught in a collaborative and fun environment to develop all-round, confident multi-disciplined kids.

Aimed at children aged 4 – 16 WOAPA operates two schools on Saturdays during term time (morning and afternoon), plus a new school just launched on Friday evenings. There are also summer schools, two adult choir groups (they perform annually in the Messiah at The Albert Hall though the usual repertoire is more Jesse J than JS Bach), and there are also courses for kids with learning disabilities.

Some of the kids go on to take part in local and national performances, TV and film productions, but the emphasis is on developing the child’s individuality and to celebrate their achievements.
