Property Flirt

Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Property Flirt features here.

Ahhh. How I love doing Property Flirt. When I lived in Islington in my twenties and early thirties, I used to walk around the gorgeous squares singing a little ditty, which went like this, ‘Looking into people’s houses/ Seeing how they’re living’, as Mr Muddy and I craned our necks to see how the people with massive candelabras and shiny cars and wooden shutters went about their business.

Ten years on, I’m not sure I’ve moved up in the world but it’s a hell of a lot easier to see into people’s houses. I mean, look here!

So here we go, the latest Property Flirt. This 5 bedroomed house is in Witney (a really fab town, I’m a fan) on the market with Gatekeeper. At how much? I hear you cry. Oh come now, you have to guess the price, that’s the fun! So here’s your visual starter for 10:

What to tell you? Well, as I said it’s 5 bedrooms (3 doubles, 2 singles), 3 bathrooms, a walk into Witney, set in the Conservation area of Cogges. There are 2/3 living areas, plus two small outbuildings and 3 loft spaces with a total storage of 56.5m2. No spec on the garden but I’d say it’s as you see it, so a large-ish cottage space.

Come on then smarty pants, tell us the price, then see if you got it right here. Well, did you?! Winner gets a month’s supply of dark choccy Digestives.

I was only 20k out (guessed 795k)but to be fair I do look the print off RightMove & friends as we plan to relocate to Oxford soon….and yes I too cant help looking at the ones I cant afford!…I love Witney too so that’s pretty high on our search list….now 20k would have been good but choccy biscuits would be a good addition to Property surfing!
