Property Flirt goes to … Chesham
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Property Flirt features here.
Right property smarty-pants, let’s see if you can guess how much this one’s worth!
A delightfully different home for your delectation this week from the fantastic The Modern House estate agency, which has featured in Grand Designs, the FT, New York Times, Vogue, and the design mags, because of the supercool mid-century onwards properties they deal in.
Your starter for 10:
This house, in Chesham, South Bucks, has an acre of gorgeous gardens in a fabulous position looking down the Chess valley; there are 4/5 bedrooms, loads of original 70s features (which you’ll either love or hate, but if you’re a design nut you’ll at least appreciate their authenticity).
It’s the pretty village of Latimer, and has a mainline station and underground in the village. So very commutable (are you clocking all these clues?!).
The site is a former walled orchard of the nearby 19th century country house, below.
Right, that’s enough clues. Have a guess how muchy, and if you get it right, I’ll buy you a bottle of bubbly and some posh crisps next time I see you.
