Wouldn’t you though?
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Cafe features here.
There are some toys that are frankly too good for children, and this 1930’s painted pine pony is one of them. I’ve had a thing about vintage toys ever since a good friend of mine bought my children Forties puzzles for their christening presents. I thought it was a really inventive idea to buy something they could relate to as children and keep as an adult.
Anyway, this lovely nag is from LASSCO 3 Pigeons in Milton Common (by Junction 7 of the M40). If it hasn’t already been snaffled, it costs £145, though I dare say you can have a haggle. I also loved this bell set – very Downton don’t you think papa?
After a mooch around I ended up having a coffee with the lovely Jo who runs Feline events in Oxford at the LASSCO cafe (below). The coffee shop has had a little festive rejig and looks fab. Hankering badly after that chandelier too!
