<p>If you were one of the, oh, 20 million or so who tuned in to watch the Coronation this weekend, you would have spotted a little local talent &#8211; namely, flowers from Little Tew’s Chippy Flower Farm (above) decorating Westminster Abbey. As part of parent company Flowers from the Farm, Chippy Flower Farm worked with floral designer to the royals and sustainable floristry advocate Shane Connolly to create the magnificent floral arrangements &#8211; which were broken down and donated to local hospitals and care homes after the big day. </p>



<p>Speaking of royals, if you were in Chalfont St Giles on Sunday you would have spotted Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice stopping into a coronation street party for a slice of cake and a cuppa. Clearly Bucks is fit for royalty&#8230; </p>

<p>More famous faces for you: this September Emma Watson’s on her way back to Oxford University, where she’s enrolled in a Creative Writing MA &#8211; pretty impressive considering she’s literally just launched new gin brand Relais with her brother Alex (above). She’ll have to fight for a table at Turf Tavern on Bath Place though, as Oscar nominee Florence Pugh recently described it as her favourite pub in the city during an interview. </p>

<p>Open air swimmers rejoice and throw off your Dry Robes! <a href="https://www.fusion-lifestyle.com/centres/hinksey-outdoor-pool/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hinksey Heated Outdoor Pool</a> is re-opening imminently. It&#8217;s had an overhaul during the winter with a new liner fitted, and once the finishing touches have be completed it will be filled and brought up to a balmy 26 degrees (*packs away teeny bikini*). It&#8217;s hoped that all that will happen by mid-May, close to last year&#8217;s opening date of 12 May.</p>



<p>Henley&#8217;s ever popular <a href="https://rrm.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">River &amp; Rowing Museum</a> has been trialling small group and school visits ahead of unveiling its new look later this spring. The exact re-opening date is still under wraps, but it&#8217;s set to be in the coming weeks. Overall, the aim has been to modernise and future-proof the museum, which tells the story of the Thames, its wildlife, the <em>Wind in the Willows</em> tale, all about rowing, and the painter John Piper. The new interactive kids play area includes a boat, binoculars and telescope, Kenton puppet theatre, and ice cream cart, sure to be popular with the littlies. The shop and cafe have also had an overhaul.</p>

<p>Plenty of new openings &#8211; and re-openings &#8211; on the horizon for summer. <strong>The Store Hotel </strong>on Oxford’s Broad Street, on the site of the old Boswell’s (RIP), is due to open in late summer, according to their parent group Reef. As well as 101 rooms, the hotel will also include two bars (one on the rooftop), a restaurant, a spa, and co-working area &#8211; and looks like it’ll have an Art Deco-meets-mid-century scheme, judging by the concept art (above).</p>



<p>Also due to open in summer is Marlow’s <strong>Everyman Cinema</strong>, which has been undergoing works for the last three (!) years. The cinema is set to include two screens over two floors, as well as a restaurant &#8211; fingers crossed we’ll have a more concrete opening date soon. </p>

<p>Oxmoor Farm in Great Hampden, Bucks had two fun announcements this week: firstly, they’ll be launching a sourdough pizza pop-up, which will use seasonal ingredients and local suppliers, all to be washed down with local beers, low-intervention wines and foraged cocktails. Opening dates are TBC, so keep an eye on their social media &#8211; pre-booking is required. Secondly, they’ve announced the line-up for their popular Wild Feasts outdoor supper clubs this summer, starting with The Seasonal Supper Club by Emma Cantlay and Lucy Turnbull on <strong>17 and 18 June</strong>. Tickets will fly out for these, so nab yours pronto. </p>

<p>A classic motor car museum plus holiday homes, members club, restaurant, shop and race track has got the go-ahead in Great Tew in the Cotswolds despite local objections. The Mullin Automotive Museum in California proposed the site to hold a rotating selection of its cars, but the whole project has now been bought by billionaire Ron Burkle, owner of Soho Farmhouse, who zhuzhed up the <a href="https://www.themullinproject.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mullin Project</a> brining in the private members&#8217; club vibes. It&#8217;s a while off but looks closer to happening after years of planning and design delays. </p>

<p>Henley&#8217;s controversial Planet Organic shop, the first for the chain outside of London, has closed after less than seven months after the bankrupt chain was sold. The arrival in October of Planet Organic was met with opposition from local farm shops like <a href="https://bosleypatch.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bosley Patch</a>, who feared it would dominate the local market, but it looks like on this occasion, the local indies won. Well, we could have told you that! </p>
