A Harrods café in Henley? You betcha! Plus a whole load of other big reveals just for you.
Harrods is coming to Henley…
…Not the whole sherbang, complete with Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed shrines, but a Harrods H Cafe selling food and a smattering of luxury accessories and homeware. Ooh, fancy! It will be London department store’s first stand alone café outside of its famous Knightsbridge location and it’s opening in Market Place, Henley, in October. This being Harrods it also has an eye on growing its retail offering, so expect to be able to collect and return orders from Harrods.com via the click and collect service. Could be dangerous to your credit card…
Veuve Cliquot pops up at Cliveden
If the Champagne corks are popping, Muddy comes running. Who wouldn’t want to head to Cliveden House’s fabulous terrace, with its views of the manicured South Parterre, when there’s oodles of bubbles on ice? Whether you’re staying overnight, dining, in a post-spa-day trance or in a meeting, the Veuve Cliquot Terrace Bar is now open from 6pm every day throughout August. You’ll find Team Muddy slumped like Eddie and Patsy with a bottle. OK, make that two.
Sudbury House gains a spa!
Faringdon’s 4 silver AA star hotel Sudbury House has gained planning permission for a luxury spa. Whoopee! Due for completion in late 2020, it will have all the usuals like swimming and vitality pools, sauna and steam facilities, six treatment rooms, a lounge and dining area, and gym. You can either join as a member or, if you’re too far away, there’s your perfect excuse for a stay. Once you’ve lounged around all day you can scoff Sudbury House’s two-AA-rosette modern British restaurant Magnolia.
