After bombing around Oxford and Witney all day today the final five shortlisted categories are in. Sorry to those of you left dangling this morning, but the wait is now over and the champagne is on ice for the eventual winners!

So that’s it! All categories at the Muddy Awards 2013 have been shortlisted.

Please remember to vote over the next two weeks. You might not know all of the businesses mentioned – and isn’t that great? – but some of your local favourites will definitely be appearing.

One thing is for sure. I’ts not a great time to be an independent shop – I spend hours talking to owners about how tough it is out there at the moment. So your vote could make a real difference to retailers trying hard to keep our high streets interesting and independent.
