Interiors shopping: it’s only natural!
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Homes & Interiors features here.
As someone who has stuck resolutely to vintage Sixties furniture for decades – even when living in a Tudor thatched cottage – I can’t really say that I follow interiors trends too closely. But even I’ve noticed that nature is taking a starring role this year – whether it’s using natural materials such as woods, wicker, cottons and wools, or animal and insect motifs.
I’m slowly collecting my favourite bits, some of which are here…
Loving this navy and white woven basket from Doug Johnston (£105, The Conran Shop), and also this simple jute lamp (£39.99 Zara Home) which has coastal retreat written all over it.
A gorgeously bright and vibrant cushion that looks ten times more expensive than its price tag (£7, Cargo)
Gorgeous kids wooden furniture, including Ercol design classics, reupholstered and repainted in classic the Farrow & Ball on the Muddy Stilettos Boutique
I absolutely love these terracotta jugs from Fade Interiors in Woodstock (from £14)
Something totally summery and happy about this cotton weave rug from Habitat (on sale at £120):
Bright, bold and fun lampshades (various) from Liscious in Summertown
And just to finish it off, because my mouse is twitching to buy, how about this piece of cuteness from Scandi-chic, available at FROM in Thame (£45)?
