There are so many rubbish ads on telly that when a decent one comes along I get very excited. Advertising is Mr Muddy’s game and we have talked ads and brands and marketing campaigns (sorry, am I keeping you up?) for years.

This short ad for the relaunch of the Sunday Times Culture section was released a few days ago, but what I love about it, apart from the fact that it’s slick and smart, is that there’s another second video that shows you how the ad was made, the silent but frantic scurrying and swapping and placing behind the scenes that allows the ad to be so seamless.

It’s totally fascinating, and a great demonstration as to why the best advertising is still an art form.
