Boots No7 is the latest company to clock that women past their twenties don’t like being sold beauty products by models barely out of braces.
So they are continuing the advertising trend of using ‘real women’ to talk to us. These women may be a bit wrinkly, or unable to squeeze more than one buttock into a size 10 trouser, but they’re people we can relate to.
Take a look at these brand new ads and see what you think. The idea is a good one – take women who might not wear much make up, who lead busy lives, give them a makeover and ask them to tell you pre-and post make up how they feel. Importantly, the results are un-retouched, just like life. So how they look is exactly what we see.
