I visited Black Swan Bridal Studio last year when it first launched and remember being a little open-mouthed at the gorgeousness of it. The venue, a light, airy, elegant space that overlooks the river in Wallingford but the dresses are the real star of the show here – Black Swan is the sole stockist of stunning new season Alice Temperley wedding dresses in Oxon & Bucks (Bicester Village holds discounted older stock), and also stocks edgy, modern designers Australian designer Karen Willis Holmes and celeb favourite Gemmy Maalouf.
You can check out my original review
of Black Swan – there are loads of images to give you a good idea of what makes it special. Once you’ve oohed and ahhed over it, brides-to-be amongst you should hot-foot it over to Black Swan’s Alice Temperley Summer 19 Bridal Collection Trunk Show
. Well, not hot foot exactly
– you’ll be standing outside a long time. Booking is smarter as the event runs from Sat 1 – Mon 10 Sept and is bound to be a sell out.
These trunk shows are a brilliant way of introducing brides to designer gowns that aren’t necessarily already in the area, with the added bonus of delicious discounts available during the event. With wedding dresses costing around the £2,000 mark, these are savings worth having, right? You can bring a posse with you (Black Swan suggest under four guests, so it doesn’t get to distracting or stressful for the the bride), have a couple of glasses of bubbles, and try on lots of different styles. One thing I can promise you – there’ll be no saccharine meringue dresses to avoid, just foxy Temperley frocks at every turn.
