Wouldn’t you though?
Hmmm, you’ve reached an older feature - let’s get you up to date! Read our latest Wouldnt you though features here.
Our swing was showing signs of wear and tear a few months back – Mr Muddy’s solution was a few extra knots and some duct tape (what can I say, he’s not a natural DIYer). Last week the rope finally had enough of this cowboy surgery and snapped mid-swing. Ever since then, Iris has been nursing a sore bum, and I’ve been looking for a more robust replacement.
And looky here! Isn’t this swing lovely? It’s solid oak, and comes from Humphreys of Henley, an Oxfordshire-based company that launched just a couple of months back. Apparently it can make swings for any size bottom (the mind fairly boggles), and can carve whatever you like on the side – perhaps a name or phrase or sentiment? It could make a lovely unusual christening or birthday present, or just a sweet addition to your own garden maybe.
The same idea is extended for oak letter racks, boot racks, chopping boards, toast racks, even benches if that’s more your thing.
Prices reflect the personal service, but I think £125 for a personalised swing that will last for years and keep little bottoms safe is worth every penny, don’t you?
