Bucks &amp; Oxon

<p>It was a FANTASTIC event.  Only complaint?  It was over WAAAYYYY to quickly.  Exceeded every expectation I had (and they were high to begin with).  Laughed till I cried, met some great people, bought some fab (signed) books and was blown away by both the brilliant (hilarious) authors and the way the panel chat  was guided &#8211; not an easy job to do.  See you next year!</p>


<p>Great evening- really the mix of genres too &#8211; looking forward to reading all three !</p>


<p>We came, we saw, we chin-wagged. And we enjoyed a few cocktails along the way, naturally. A massive THANK YOU to all you Muddy readers who came along to our author event last Saturday, in collaboration with Henley Literary Festival. It was a windy, rainy night and we had stiff competition with <em>Strictly </em>on the box so we were thrilled to see such a huge turnout of glam, lively, chatty Muddy readers.</p>

<p>I’d love to say it was a night of high-brow literary debate but, well, the conversation did descend into a discussion about massages with a happy ending at one point. We’ll blame <em>Cosmopolitan </em>editor-in-chief and author of <em>The Discomfort Zone</em> for that eye-opening tangent! Farrah, stand-up comedian and writer Viv Groskop and hotshot debut novelist Caroline O’Donoghue were, collectively, a brilliantly engaging, witty, clever panel, with founder Hero and associate ed Kerry the hostesses with the mostest (if we do say so ourselves).</p>

<p>A big Muddy shout-out to fab local businesses who helped us with our goody bags – <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/directory/house-of-bluebelle/">House Of BlueBelle</a> for the gorgeous candles, <a href="https://www.rituals.com/en-gb/home">Rituals</a> for the beauty samples, <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/directory/tonic-massage/">Tonic Mind Body Studio</a> in Henley for the discount voucher for massages and <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/bull-bell-street-review/">The Bull On Bell Street</a>&#8216;s enticing 25% off dinner through to November 6th.
