Let&#8217;s face it, they&#8217;re highly likely to be bouncing off the walls by that time anyway and these are sure to be the best house baked beans of their lives. <p>Another<a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/restaurants/michelin-star-winners-near-you/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> local Michelin pub</a> serving up delicious summer freebies for littles? Sign us up. At Heston’s <a href="https://www.hindsheadbray.com/news-and-events/free-ice-cream-parlour-this-summer-holidays/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hind’s Head</a>, every adult main scores a kids&#8217; one <em>gratis</em> (12 and under), at lunchtime and until 7pm for the dinner sitting. It’s only 20 mins from <a href="https://www.legoland.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Legoland</a> too, so you can claim it was an <em>educational</em> outing. Ish. Did we mention that the ice-cream parlour opens for business at 11:30am too? It&#8217;s kiddie and grown-up heaven. Book in before <strong>28 Aug</strong> for a golden deal. </p>

<p>Get the gang together at this spacious crowdpleaser and the bill will come as a pleasant surprise – each kids meal rings in at £1 with every adult main course ordered (until<strong> 6 Sept</strong>). There is a slightly finickity code to quote (UPG8EGQS), but it&#8217;s worth copy-pasting that for the wood fired Parma pizza alone. Young ones can get a slice of the homemade pizza action too, or there&#8217;s all the kids&#8217; menu classics to choose from too. This was one of my regular mat leave haunts, not that the kids&#8217; food offers came in quite so handy back then with the babes in arms, but the welcoming vibes and bargain bites entice us back on the regular. </p>

<p>We had a grand old time when we reviewed <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/restaurants/review-alice-restaurant-randolph-hotel-oxford/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Alice</a>, and little food critics can get their gourmet fill too. Not that they should have anything at all to critique: the children&#8217;s menu includes such delights as crispy fish goujons with hand-cut chips and pesto pasta tossed with parmesan. As for your pickings from the à la carte menu, the honey glazed spatchcock poussin would tickle our fancy. Two kids eat for free with every à la carte main course 12pm – 7pm Mon to Fri until<strong> 31 Aug</strong>. </p>

<p>Got two kids in tow? They both eat free Mon – Fri during the school hols with every adult main or light lunch ordered. The deal is automatically applied if sprogs are under 12, so there&#8217;s no convoluted voucher codes to remember either. Too kind. Comforting faves like Cumberland sausages with mash and juice will fill their tums while you tuck into a fragrant Thai green curry or similar. And if they fancy something sweet for afters, puds are just £3 per child. Then wander two mins to the fab <a href="https://cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cowper &amp; Newton Museum</a> – there’s a dressing-up room (no adults allowed, sorry) and trails galore.</p>

Expect cheeseburgers and fries for them, and maybe the Cornish crab linguine for you – summer spritz optional.  While you’re in MK, why not head to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.gulliverslandresort.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gulliver’s Land</a>&nbsp;for rides and animal encounters? Or swing by<a href="https://www.unityplace.co.uk/whats-on-milton-keynes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Unity Place</a> for a whole host of summer fun in the city: there&#8217;s some very chilled kids&#8217; terrarium workshops as well as free photography workshops and film screenings throughout the month. </p>

<p>We love a boujee wisteria-draped spot that doesn’t mug us off with the bill. Kids eat free Mon – Thurs and until 5 pm on Fridays at Victors Oxford, with a two-course menu that includes fresh and healthy poke bowls, probably less healthy crispy mac &amp; cheese and mini cookies. It’s inside <a href="https://www.westgateoxford.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Westgate Oxford</a>, so you can squeeze in some mini golf, escape rooms or a film too, or head on over to <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-story-museum-oxford/">The Story Museum</a> to explore the new <a href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/mystery-academy-story-museum-oxford-review/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mystery Academy</a>. They&#8217;ll need plenty of brain food on board for that last one. </p>

<p>This cosy, blue-fronted gastropub on Osney Island has gone one (or two) better on the previous &#8216;kids eat for £1&#8217; deals for summer 2026: two kids can now eat for free when one adult orders a main course. Stone-baked pizza for a song is surely summer holiday heaven. Enjoy a carb-fuelled waterside stroll afterwards.</p>
