BLENHEIM PALACE, Woodstock

Kids eat free, and they get to go feral in the Adventure Play area? Be still, our beating hearts. Weekdays this summer, little ones can burn off energy on the climbing nets and zip wires, before tucking into two free pizza slices and juice at the Walled Garden Pizzeria with every adult meal. Bonus brownie points if you finish the day with a splash at the Woodstock Open Air Pool – just 3 mins up the road.

THE BUTCHER’S TAP & GRILL, Marlow

Tom Kerridge alert! Kids eat free Mon – Thu, 3 pm – 5 pm at The Butcher’s Tap, with mini hot dogs, mac & cheese bites or burgers. Fruit and a drink included for your halo. We repeat: Tom Kerridge. Free.

THE HIND’S HEAD, Bray

A Michelin pub with a side of free ice cream? Sign us up. Weekdays at Heston’s Hind’s Head, every adult main gets one kid a FREE trip to the ice cream parlour – ideal bribery while you get stuck into the grown-up menu. It’s only 20 mins from Legoland too, so you can claim it was an educational outing. Ish.

THE BULL, Olney

Ooh, £1 kids’ meals? We’ll take 10. OK, not quite free, but practically. Snap up dishes like Cumberland sausages with mash and juice when you order an adult main, weekday only. It’s right her e. Then wander 2 mins to the fab Cowper & Newton Museum – there’s a dressing-up room (no adults allowed, sorry) and trails galore.

THE SWAN, Milton Keynes

Same family as The Bull, same brilliant £1 weekday kid’s meals deal. Expect cheeseburgers and fries for them, and maybe the beef shin ravioli for you – it’d be rude not to. While you’re in MK, why not head to Gulliver’s Land for rides and animal encounters?

VICTORS, Oxford

We love a bougie wisteria-draped spot that doesn’t mug us off with the bill. Kids eat free Mon – Thu and until 5 pm on Fridays at Victors Oxford, with a two-course menu that includes sushi rolls, burgers, crispy mac & cheese and mini cookies. It’s inside Westgate Oxford, so you can squeeze in some mini golf, escape rooms or a film too.

YO! SUSHI, Milton Keynes

All aboard the sushi train! At YO!, kids get a free Bento Box during weekdays when an adult meal is ordered. Chicken katsu, prawn maki, veggie rice, edamame… It’s healthy-ish and colourful enough to distract them from pudding (but there’s a pancake for £1.50 if needed). Then head to Willen Lake Aqua Park – 7 mins away – and watch them tackle 30 floating obstacles while you sip coffee like a hero.

THE REAL GREEK, Windsor

Swap roasties for loukaniko sausage with the Real Greek’s kids eat free Sundays. Just spend £15pp on adult meals. Wraps, halloumi, courgette fritters and chips await. Reward yourself post-lunch with a jaunt to Coral Reef Waterworld — five waterslides, one nervous adult and a whole lot of fun.

BANANA TREE, Milton Keynes & Oxford

This one’s hotter than a Bangkok street market. Between Sun – Thu, buy a grown-up main and kids get a free main and dessert at Banana Tree. From ramen and sweetcorn fritters to mango sorbet. No drinks for the littlies, but you can have a two-for-one cocktail for yourself. Priorities.

WING KINGZ, Milton Keynes

For the fried chicken fans (so… everyone), Wing Kingz has a kids eat free deal via downloadable voucher. Expect buttermilk burgers, spicy sauces and a side of footie on the big screen — it’s in Xscape MK, so you’re next to climbing walls, Snozone, Escape Hunt and Cineworld.

BILL’S, Milton Keynes

Whether you’re brunching or lunching, Bill’s MK has your back. Two children eat free Mon – Fri with every adult main ordered, until 29 Aug. Think pancakes, fish fingers, mac & cheese. Plus, it’s 10 mins from the National Film and Sci-Fi Museum, so you can all geek out on lightsabers and Daleks after.

One of the OG family saviours, PizzaExpress, is running a Kids Eat Free deal until 10 Aug. Order an adult main and little ones bag a full Piccolo meal: dough balls, pizza/pasta/salad, pudding and a Bambinoccino. Local branches include Oxford Summertown, Abingdon, Amersham, Bicester and beyond.

CÔTE, Marlow, Henley and Oxford

Fancy French that won’t break the bank? Côte offers kids a free two-course menu all summer long, with every adult à la carte or prix fixe meal. It runs all day, every day until 7 Sept – one of the most generous offers out there. Merci beaucoup!

PREZZO, Thame, Bicester, Milton Keynes Stadium

Saving dough while eating dough. At Prezzo, kids under 12 get a three-course meal free with each adult main – running till 6 Sept. Garlic bread, pasta and gelato? Sorted.
