Move over Dolce & Gabbana, we know someone who has been in the dog fragrance biz loong before you jumped on the bandwagon by launching your alcohol-free dog perfume, Fefé, this week. We reckon the Italian fashionistas took their lead from Bucks-based scent siren Emma Caroline Newth-West, aka House of Hildi, who’s been on the front paw here for the past four years.

This one-woman aromatherapy brand has created a line of pooch-friendly fragrances inspired by her black lab Hildi (aww). Her line of sweet-smelling products not only keep your home smelling amazing (wet dog smell, begone!), they also give a helpful boost to your dog’s wellbeing – and your own frazzled mindset too. In a nutshell, her distinctive mix of essential oils, branded by cute affirmations on the packaging, helps with relaxation, composure, and even focus.

Though the line includes gorgeous wax melts and candles, our favourite has to be the I Am Restful luxury room spray. A gorgeous blend of Neroli, Chamomile, Lavender and Valerian, this floral spritz does exactly what is says on the bottle, i.e., encourage restfulness while making your sofa and soft furnishings smell divine. Take it on your travels this summer to keep your dog calm in the car and in unfamiliar surrounds – talk about home-from-home vibes.

For the animal activists out there, don’t you worry: all House of Hildi’s products are made with Fido front of mind.
