<p>Scarlet Page balances her work as a rock and roll photographer with family life in Oxfordshire. She&#8217;s photographed bona fide music royalty including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, Stereophonics, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beastie Boys, The Verve, and Robbie Williams and she toured the world with The Darkness. The daughter of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, Scarlet&#8217;s pictures have appeared in <em>The Times</em>, <em>The Independent</em>, <em>Mojo</em> and <em>Q</em> among others, and she&#8217;s held exhibitions at venues from the Proud Gallery in Camden to the Royal Albert Hall, many of them in aid of charities including the PDSA, Teenage Cancer Trust and Warchild. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What wakes you up in the morning?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>I generally wake around 6am naturally, I think kids ruined my ability to sleep past 6:30am!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What’s
the very first thing you do on waking?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>Shamefully I check my phone and have a little scroll for 15 minutes</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Do you bounce out of bed or do you need to be dragged from the bed, still clutching your duvet?</h2>



<p>I get up before anyone else and put my gym kit on. I bought an Echelon bike at the end of December and try to do a spin every morning followed by a Youtube yoga with Adrienne&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What’s the first thing you drink? Eat?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>After exercise and a shower I have a Huel vegan shake with a shot of espresso blended with ice. At the weekends I have homemade bread toasted with President butter and homemade jam. That is such a treat.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How
do you set the mood for the day?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>Once everyone is out of the door I can focus on my working day but getting that hour first thing to workout is such a great routine for me. Any later in the day and I won&#8217;t do it. It has to be first thing to work.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who
else shares your morning space?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>My husband Tom, and my kids Martha and Griffin who are 13 and 10 years old</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What’s
on the radio/podcast/TV?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>We quite often have BBC Breakfast on in the background or Radio One</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What
skincare/beauty products do you swear by?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>I use a mix of products &#8211; I&#8217;m not tied to one brand. At the moment I am loving Rodial Pink Diamond Magic Gel at night and MOA (Magic Organic Apothecary) Aphrodite Facial Oil in the morning. I have been using a new gadget recently called a Newa. It’s meant to&nbsp;warm your skin and promote production of new collagen. It was a 50th birthday gift. It is a commitment but you can do it in front of the TV!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What’s
the first thing you do outside?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>I used to walk my dog every morning, he was a rescue from Spain, a beautiful hound, but sadly&nbsp;he died unexpectedly a month ago. I am not going on walks at the moment except for strolls with pals now and then</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When do you first check your emails/phone, etc?</h2>



<p>I admitted this one earlier, first thing. Yikes!  After the school drop off I knuckle down to replying to emails for an hour. I do make sure I step away from work where I can at the weekends and try to put a focus on family time.&nbsp;It means Monday can be a mega catch up day, but I prefer to have time away from my inbox at the weekend. </p>



<p>I spend a lot of time&nbsp;working on social media/newsletters etc and adding new archive limited edition prints to my site. On shoot days I am either getting the studio ready or grabbing all of my&nbsp;equipment and meeting up on locations. I always get a healthy bout of pre shoot nerves, whether it be working with a local personal trainer or Keith Richards! It’s what keeps it fun and me on my toes! I also <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="design and make jewellery (opens in a new tab)" href="http://www.lovescarlet.co.uk" target="_blank">design and make jewellery</a> so that all keeps my time filled.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How
do you choose what to wear?&nbsp;</h2>



<p>I have ditched the daily loungewear and since starting my fitness regime and am enjoying the confidence this gives me. I am now making a bit more effort and actually wearing the clothes in my wardrobe! My style is a bit alternative, I am a comfy sort &#8211; vintage&nbsp;t-shirt and an eclectic mix. I wear jeans and tee/sweatshirt day to day, but wear a funky dress from time to time with vans or sliders. I am not a high heels/ dressy kind of girl.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">If you were breakfasting out, what’s your favourite local spot &amp; why?</h2>



<p>It has to be Blue Tin (which featured in our <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="local female foodies (opens in a new tab)" href="https://bucksoxon.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/farmshops-delis/female-foodies-of-buckinghamshire-and-oxfordshire/" target="_blank">local female foodies</a> article). The drive there is the first part of loveliness. You could be in Oklahoma with fields that go as far as the eye can see. I love how all our favourite cafes have had to get inventive with their outdoor spaces since covid. It feels like a treat to have a meeting at Blue Tin for that reason. With the scenery and fresh air &#8211; it’s important to have a work/life balance where possible. I also love the Thames Lido as a location for a brunch, it feels special and vibrant.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">If you could wake up anywhere &amp; with anyone, who would it be? </h2>



<p>I would chose a beachside villa in a faraway place with my family. Our last family holiday was to Sri Lanka two years ago to celebrate my mum’s 70th. It was just wonderful. </p>
