The Ashmolean Museum in central Oxford is well known for its world-class collections of art and artefacts and regular innovative event like the Friday Lates, the Gin ‘n’ Jazz evenings, and Baby Ashmoles’ mornings.
BUT. What you might not know is that you can rent the Ashmolean out for events, parties, meetings, receptions or even weddings – how cool is that? The museum holds a licence and you can choose which gallery to say ‘I do’ in, depending on which era you prefer.
The sheer size of the grand Victorian building and the various spaces within it means that something will almost definitely suit. As well as the atrium, gallery spaces, forecourt, vaulted basement cafe and rooftop restaurant, there’s a director’s boardroom and lecture theatre available to hire for meetings, presentations, dinner dances, receptions, work dos, Christmas parties and private dining.
As you’d expect, The Ashmolean has a large network of trusted partners to take the heavy lifting on events – so catering, flowers, photography, lighting and entertainment can all be taken off your to-do list.
