Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant

The Ashmolean’s rooftop restaurant is one of a kind with seasonal, fresh dishes and stunning views of Oxford’s skyline from the terrace.

The first rooftop restaurant in central Oxford (it’s also a café in the daytime serving freshly baked croissants, cakes and lunch), the space is surrounded by glass windows, has a large sunny terrace and gorgeous views of the city’s dreaming spires. The lunch menu is well-curated – think nibbles and a few well-chosen starters, mains and desserts – and it’s all seasonal and freshly prepared on site. There’s also a small but perfectly formed wine and beer list if you fancy a tipple with your rooftop views!

The restaurant is a great option for pre-theatre dining (the Ashmolean is opposite the Oxford Playhouse and a five minute walk from New Theatre), has a lovely afternoon tea offering (including a separate vegan menu), and hosts live music on Thursdays.
