The sun’s out, the grass is growing – but is your lawn-mower up to the job? Mine has been limping around for the last year, but mowers can be wildly expensive to fix and also hard to book in if you need to take it to a workshop. However, I’ve finally solved that problem (and then some) by using Chinnor Mowers, a totally brilliant lawnmower servicing and repairs company based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

The owner, Darryl, has worked in the  industry for 24 years for British-based manufacturers Westwood and Countax, and knows both ride-on and push mowers inside and out (literally – he took mine apart entirely before putting it back together and now it’s purring like a kitten).

If you’re within 30 miles of Chinnor, Oxfordshire, he’ll come to your home to service your lawnmower on site, which for me was the best bit – on-site work saves you carving a whole day out of your calendar, plus if he comes across any unforeseen costs Darryl will talk you through them to keep the financials  fully transparent, so you’re not in for a surprise bill.
