Daws Hill is a small family vineyard that grows special French wine grapes in the fields of Buckinghamshire. Based in the picturesque heart of the Chilterns, it now has around 5000 vines and extends over three acres. The vineyard uses traditional methods to make excellent wine from the different grapes grown: these include champagne varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, as well as Auxerrois for sparkling wines. It also sells a variety of ciders, made from locally-picked apples.

There are frequent, popular tours held around Daws Hill’s pretty acreage. These demonstrate the fascinating journey from vine to bottle and include — we’d expect nothing less — ample tasting opportunities. The vineyard also regularly holds events, be these at-home tasting experiences, wine-making experiences, craft workshops, or even a full-on theatre production among the grapes. Check their website for up-to-date lists of what’s on.
