Fairytale Farm, Chipping Norton
Fairytale Farm, in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, is the UK’s first visitor attraction that is open to all, but where disabled children come first in its design and layout – keeping it magical for all.

Once upon a time (well, in 2013), Nick and Nicola Laister waved their magic wand over Southcombe Farm in Chipping Norton and created Fairytale Farm in honour of their eldest daughter Olivia who has cerebral palsy. Fast forward to today, the farm is divided into six main zones and is a wonderful, accessible wonderland for all.
There are play zones, friendly animals, sensory gardens filled with a variety of plants and flowers, and a fairytale theme woven throughout. Wheelchair and buggy friendly flat paths come as standard here, along with musical chimes, waterwheels, and a Fairytale Street based on storybook characters.
The newest showstopper is The Fairy Dell, a fairy themed adventure play area where your kids can explore the giant toadstools, climbing walls, and raised walkways and bridges. If your little people are more into Jurassic Park than pixie dust, the farm’s dino-themed area will let them explore it’s collection of life-sized moving dinosaurs. And don’t miss Wonderland – the magical new Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland-inspired area where veg patches meet sensory play.
You can make a day of it with the Beanstalk Café on site for homemade cakes, lunch-time bites and a gift shop for the kids. Birthday parties are also possible here (£19.95 per child, capped at 8) and keep an eye out for the rather lovely seasonal events.
Under 2s and carers for disabled visitors go free; tickets are £12.49 per person.
