Firelight, near Long Crendon
An outdoorsy wellness destination between Thame and Long Crendon. Get closer to others and to nature with sunset yoga and wine, outdoor feasts on local produce, or even a retreat abroad!
Firelight is all about feeling good. Located on 250-acre Lopemede Farm on the outskirts of the rural Oxfordshire village of Long Crendon, this hub of happiness offers a range of events to get you out of the routine and brighten up your everyday.
Husband-and-wife team Jess and Greg Symondson founded Firelight in 2023 with the goal of combining inner wellbeing with the outdoors. They have thrown together a dreamy programme of tasty food, live music and somatic healing practices such as yoga and breathwork to halt the humdrum and bring the smiles, inside and out. Firelight wants treating yourself right to be fun – what’s not to love about sunset yoga with a live DJ and a glass of rosé alongside? Yoga and breathwork classes are also run weekly in the wellness tipi, and there’s even the odd retreat to sunny destinations abroad!
Happiness and good food are never too far apart, and wellness is not complete without some great grub. Outdoor feasts on the farm consist of the treats which the area has to offer, and Firelight collaborates with the UK’s best chefs to get the most out of the local produce. Keep your eyes peeled for long-table feasts at the farm, celebrating local ingredients including organic veg from Sandy Lane Farm and Wagyu beef from Lopemede’s very own herd!
The farm regularly hosts open-air live music and film screenings aiming to get the most out of the joys of being together in beautiful scenery. Corporate packages are also on offer if you’re looking to get the team away from the tech for a while. Just 40 minutes away from London by train and a half hour drive from Oxford, it’s the perfect spot for a little getaway.
