Garth Park Kitchen, Bicester
Stunning Sunday roasts, sumptuous supper clubs and seasonal cocktails to boot, all set in award-winning park gardens – Garth Park Kitchen has never looked better.

Step in from the leafy surrounds and smell the bacon. It’s Sunday morning in Garth Park. The kids are playing outside, dogs are out for fresh air and a leg stretch as you tuck into a sausage sandwich. Oh go on, why not. Two sausage sandwiches.
Recently rebranded (previously Savoir Fare) but still under the same beloved ownership, Garth Park Kitchen has been building a community around great food for almost a decade. Breakfast (served 9am – 11am daily) ranges from a six/nine-piece fry-up to reinvented classics like harissa beans on toast, and bubble & squeak served with halloumi, pumpkin and chilli. The Mediterranean vibe continues into lunch, with mouthwatering dishes Brill Hill meatballs, smoked aubergine, tomato and chickpeas, plus classics like sausages & mash and steak frites.
Garth Park Kitchen has a well-earned reputation for its Sunday roast, and you’d be hard-pushed to find a better one in Bicester. Locally reared meat, skin-on potatoes, seasonal greens, thyme-roasted carrots, proper Yorkshire puddings, and rich gravy made from scratch. I can think of worse excuses for a stroll in the park.
With the rebrand comes a fresh programme of events, kicking off with the all-new Spring Supper Club at the start of April. Five sumptuous courses with wine pairings, all for £60 a head – I’d get in quick. There are monthly live music nights (every third Thursday), a changing seasonal cocktail menu and locally brewed craft beers.
Garth Park itself is well worth the visit, with award-winning formal gardens, bandstand, large open spaces and a children’s play area (directly in view of the café, conveniently). Just round the corner from Bicester Village station, you could always throw in some shopping and make a day of it. Oh, if you insist.
